 When one of the technicians working on the combustive weapon team
 at the C.R.C. suffered an unfortunate accident the Coruscating Retinal
 Burner was born. The hapless victim was the first to discover that
 if applied correctly, a beam of highly intensified light can
 temporarily shut down the retina and blind the subject without
 inflicting any pain whatsoever. This technology has since been widely
 adopted by the C.R.C. for various combat scenarios.
